The basics

What is mintus?

mintus is a blockchain-based electronic voucher and loyalty management platform built for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It lets you mint, distribute, redeem and reconcile gift cards, prepaid storage cards, membership benefits, product vouchers and coupons — all without buying any new hardware or hiring developers.

Who is it for?

Cafés, restaurants, retail and boutique stores, beauty and wellness studios, gyms, education and training providers, event organizers — any business that depends on repeat customers and that today uses (or wants to use) gift cards, prepaid value, memberships or coupons.

Do I need to know anything about crypto to use mintus?

No. Consumers sign in with a familiar username and password. Behind the scenes, our decentralized identity (DID) layer manages keys safely. There are no seed phrases, no browser wallet extensions and no manual key management.

What devices do I need?

Any modern smartphone (iOS 14+ for Wallet, iOS 15+ for Cashier; Android 8+ for Wallet, Android 9+ for Cashier). For the Enterprise Console, any current browser will do.

Pricing & fees

Is mintus free?

The consumer Wallet and the Cashier app are free to download and use. Businesses pay a small per-transaction fee, typically a fraction of a cent per voucher action. Bulk-mint discounts and partner tiers are available — see the For Business page or contact sales@mintus.world.

Are there hidden charges?

No. Fees are flat per action and shown to merchants in real time inside the Enterprise Console.

Security & privacy

Is mintus safe?

Vouchers are protected by the same cryptographic guarantees that secure the underlying public chain. They cannot be copied, double-spent or silently altered. Consumer keys are protected via device-bound secure enclaves and threshold cryptography. Our smart-contract templates are independently audited.

Where is my data stored?

Personal data (account email, recovery information) is stored on servers managed by mintus, with regional storage in line with applicable law. On-chain identifiers and voucher records reside on the public blockchain. Refer to the Privacy Policy for full details.

Do you sell my data?

No. mintus does not sell or rent personal data to third parties, and we do not run third-party advertising SDKs inside our apps.

Are mintus vouchers securities?

No. Vouchers issued through mintus are utility tokens that represent the issuing merchant's obligation to provide goods, services or stored value. They confer no profit-sharing, dividend, governance or ownership rights in mintus or in any other entity, and are not designed or marketed as investments. See the Disclaimer for the full statement.

Using the apps

How do I redeem a voucher?

Open the mintus Wallet, select the voucher you want to redeem, tap Redeem, and present the resulting QR code to the cashier. The cashier scans, the chain settles, and the voucher is marked redeemed in your wallet immediately.

Can I transfer a voucher to a friend?

If the merchant marked the voucher as transferable, yes — open the voucher, tap Send, and enter the recipient's mintus username. Transfers are free of charge to the consumer.

What happens if I lose my phone?

Sign in to the mintus Wallet on a new device using your username and password. If you forget your password, recover via email plus security questions. Your assets stay with your DID, not with your device.

How do I delete my account?

Open the mintus Wallet → Settings → Account → Delete account, and follow the prompts. See the Account Deletion page for the web-based alternative and for data retention details.

For businesses

How fast can I get set up?

Most merchants get from signup to first redemption in under an hour. Create an account, pick a voucher template, invite your staff, mint your first batch, share with customers.

Can I migrate from my existing gift-card vendor?

Yes. We can help you mint a one-to-one equivalent of your outstanding gift-card balances. Contact sales@mintus.world for migration support.

Does mintus integrate with my POS or ERP?

We provide reference adapters for major retail and F&B POS platforms and webhook patterns for ERPs. See Developers for partner program access.

Can multiple cashiers use one account?

No — each cashier should have their own login. The Cashier app supports granular per-role permissions; you can add or revoke cashier access from the Enterprise Console at any time.

Compliance & regional

Is mintus available in my country?

mintus is available globally, subject to applicable law. We do not knowingly provide service in jurisdictions where blockchain-based vouchers are prohibited, or to persons under sanctions. See Terms of Service for the eligibility statement.

Is mintus GDPR / CCPA / PIPL / PDPA compliant?

Yes. Our privacy program is designed to align with the EU GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA, the Chinese PIPL and Singapore's PDPA, as well as comparable laws in other jurisdictions. See the Privacy Policy.

Is mintus appropriate for children?

The mintus services are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
