Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") supplements our Terms of Service. It applies to anyone using the Services, including Merchants, Consumers and developers.
1. Prohibited activities
You must not use the Services to:
- violate any applicable law, regulation or international sanction;
- facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, tax evasion or any other financial crime;
- issue Vouchers that misrepresent goods or services, conceal liabilities, or otherwise deceive Consumers;
- circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security or technical limitation of the Services;
- transmit any virus, worm, ransomware, spyware, scraper or other malicious code;
- attempt unauthorised access to any account, computer system or network connected to the Services;
- interfere with the operation of the Services or the underlying blockchain (for example, by sustained denial-of-service attacks);
- scrape, harvest or otherwise extract data from the Services at scale, except as expressly permitted by us in writing;
- infringe any patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property right;
- upload, store or distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, threatening or unlawful;
- use the Services to sell or otherwise distribute prohibited goods or services (including unlawful weapons, drugs, sexually exploitative material, counterfeit goods or items violating export control law);
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;
- collect personal data from other users without their informed consent;
- use the Services in a way that is reasonably likely to bring mintus, its users or the broader ecosystem into disrepute.
2. Special rules for Merchants
- You must accurately describe the goods, services or stored value represented by each Voucher.
- You must honour Vouchers in accordance with their stated terms and applicable consumer-protection law.
- You must implement reasonable customer-service processes, including for refunds and complaints.
- You must not issue Vouchers in a manner that would constitute the issuance of e-money, deposits or securities under the law applicable to you, unless you hold the required regulatory permissions.
- You are responsible for tax and accounting treatment of your Voucher issuance and redemption.
3. Enforcement
If we believe you have violated this AUP, we may take any action we consider appropriate, including warnings, temporary or permanent suspension of access, removal of content, refusal of further service and reporting to law-enforcement authorities. Where the underlying conduct involves on-chain assets, we may also disable client-side access to the offending Voucher contracts.
4. Reporting violations
If you observe activity that you believe violates this AUP, please report it to abuse@mintus.world. Include enough detail (URLs, usernames, timestamps) for us to investigate.
5. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on this page and, where required, communicated to you in advance.
