Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how mintus uses cookies and similar technologies (collectively, "cookies") when you visit our website or use the Enterprise Console. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Cookies allow a website to remember information about your visit, such as your language preference and login state, and can also be used for analytics, security and (where you consent) marketing.
We also refer to similar technologies — including pixel tags, local storage, session storage and SDK identifiers — as "cookies" for the sake of this policy.
2. Categories of cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the website and the Enterprise Console to work. Without them, services you have explicitly requested (such as logging in or submitting a form) cannot be provided. We do not require consent for strictly necessary cookies. Examples include:
- session cookies that maintain your authenticated state;
- CSRF tokens that protect form submissions;
- load-balancer cookies that route your requests consistently.
2.2 Functional cookies
These cookies let us remember choices you make — such as your language and theme (light/dark) — and tailor the experience accordingly. They are set only after you express the preference. Disabling them does not break the Services but reduces convenience.
2.3 Analytics cookies
Where permitted, we use first-party analytics to understand which pages and features are used, so we can improve the Services. We aggregate the data and do not use it to identify individuals. Where required by law (in particular EU/UK ePrivacy law), we ask for your consent before setting these cookies.
2.4 Marketing cookies
We do not run third-party advertising cookies inside our apps. On the marketing website, we may use first-party cookies to measure the effectiveness of campaigns or referrals; we ask for consent before doing so where required.
3. How we obtain consent
When you visit our website from a region whose law requires prior consent for non-essential cookies (notably the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, Brazil and several U.S. states), a consent banner appears on your first visit and on policy updates. You can accept all, reject all, or fine-tune your choices. You can revisit your choices at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page.
In jurisdictions that follow an opt-out model (such as some U.S. states), you can opt out of cookie-driven analytics and marketing at any time using the same control. We also respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required.
4. Controlling cookies through your browser
You can configure your browser to refuse, accept or delete cookies. The exact steps depend on your browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the Services from functioning correctly.
5. Mobile app identifiers
The mintus Wallet and Cashier apps do not use third-party advertising identifiers. We use device identifiers exposed by iOS and Android only for security, crash analytics and product analytics, in accordance with the disclosures in our Data Safety page and the Privacy Policy. Where consent is required (e.g. AppTrackingTransparency on iOS), we ask for it through the operating-system prompt.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when the latest revision was made.
